What does Al Ambra Exclusive Jeon smell like?
Exclusive Jeon has five notes. The first is agarwood, the tree whose resin-soaked heartwood is oud: dark, woody and slightly animalic. It is the only top note, so the scent opens with its main material and nothing in front of it.
The heart is musk and amber, a soft skin-like note and a warm resinous accord. Jasmine is placed in the base next to warm woods, which is the reverse of the usual order, where a flower sits in the heart. Read from top to bottom, the pyramid goes from oud to softness to a white flower.
What Al Ambra says about Exclusive Jeon
Woody, musky and amber, slightly smoky: that is the brand's summary of Exclusive Jeon, under the label traditional Arabic. It suggests autumn and winter and formal or special occasions, and describes the projection as moderate to strong.
Who is Al Ambra Exclusive Jeon for?
Al Ambra's product title lists Exclusive Jeon as unisex, and the details block on the same page agrees. The notes give no reason to argue: oud, musk, amber and warm woods belong to no one side of the perfume counter, and the one flower, jasmine, is kept low in the base. Exclusive Jeon will appeal to you if you want oud with nothing fruity or spicy in front of it. If you prefer your oud wrapped in rose, saffron or vanilla, none of the three is on this list.
Al Ambra Exclusive Jeon Eau de Parfum, 100 ml: size and concentration
The bottle of Exclusive Jeon holds 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) of eau de parfum, and the brand's site offers nothing smaller. High is Al Ambra's label for the oil richness, Arabic its label for the blend style. This guide describes 49 scents; 21 of them are eaux de parfum, and not one of those is sold in 50 ml. How this type differs from an extrait is set out in the eau de parfum guide.
Al Ambra Exclusive Jeon compared with its closest siblings
Arosa has the same musk, amber and jasmine, and it too is an eau de parfum in 100 ml. The difference lies in what surrounds them. Arosa is listed for women and adds cassis and mandarin orange, heliotrope, vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and patchouli: a berry, a citrus fruit and several sweet or powdery notes. Exclusive Jeon has oud where Arosa has fruit, and no vanilla or tonka at all. Of the two, Arosa is the sweet floral and Exclusive Jeon the dark wood.
Three notes link Exclusive Jeon to Paradise Valley: musk, amber and jasmine. Paradise Valley is an extrait de parfum in 50 ml, listed for women, and everything else on its list is absent here: pineapple and apple, rose and magnolia, vanilla, cashmere wood and cedar. Oud is the one note that only Exclusive Jeon has. Choose by what you want around the amber: fruit and a bouquet, or a single dark wood.
With Eclat the overlap is again musk, amber and jasmine, but the two lists face opposite ways. Eclat, an extrait de parfum in 100 ml for women, is made of pear, tangerine and bergamot, neroli and orange blossom, vanilla and benzoin: citrus, white flowers and a sweet resin. None of that is in Exclusive Jeon, and Eclat has no oud. The bottle size is the same, the concentration is not, and a bright list stands against a dark one.
Where to buy Al Ambra Exclusive Jeon in Europe
FragranceGems, an independent reseller, does not sell Exclusive Jeon at the moment. You can ask for it on the shop's request page; a request is not an order, and it does not mean the scent will be added. None of the four Al Ambra scents the shop does sell lists oud. What two of them share with Exclusive Jeon is musk: Dubai Musk sets it among citrus, black currant, magnolia and white sandalwood, and Black Forest Elixir names it in a long list that also has vetiver, patchouli and vanilla. Neither replaces an oud scent.
Request Exclusive Jeon at FragranceGemsA request is not an order, and it is no promise that the shop will add the scent.
