What lily of the valley is
Lily of the valley yields no oil of its own, so its fresh, green floral smell is always rebuilt by the perfumer. Perfumers also call it muguet. The reconstruction smells watery, green and clean, close to fresh linen, and it is used to keep a floral heart light where jasmine or tuberose would make it heavier.
